: Fine Arts Techniques Workshop

Date: 7 February 2018
Time: 4:30 – 6:00pm
Venue: Room 4.19 Run Run Shaw Tower

This is essential learning for all art history majors and minors – but others are welcome as well. We’ll display numerous materials used for painting (oil, acrylic, ink, watercolor, gouache), drawing (chalk, pastel, charcoal, pencil, silverpoint), and printmaking (woodcut, engraving, etching, silkscreen), and you can try them out to better understand how artists work… This year, we are extremely fortunate to be joined by Ruth Weisberg, Professor of Fine Arts at the University of Southern California, who will demonstrate various contemporary and historical graphic techniques.
