|Lee Kit was born in Hong Kong in 1978. He graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 2003 and obtained his Master of Fine Arts degree in 2006 at CUHK. His solo exhibitions include Portrait of Self Exile (The Shop/Vitamin Creative Space, Beijing, 2009), 2009 Platform in Kimusa (Seoul), No Soul For Sale (Tate Modern, London, 2010), and Lee Kit: Henry (Western Front, Vancouver, 2011). Lee Kit has also participated in many local and international art events such as the Hong Kong Art Biennial (Hong Kong Museum of Art, 2001, 2003, and 2005), The Third Guangzhou Triennial (Guangzhou, 2008), Pulse Art Fair (Miami, 2009), Hong Kong International Art Fair 2009 (Hong Kong Conventional and Exhibition Centre, 2009), Frieze Art Fair (London, 2011), and The Ungovernables (New Museum Triennial, New York, 2012). He was the Artist-in-Residence at the Bolton Street Cottage (Wellington, New Zealand, 2007-2008) and a Finalist of the Sovereign Asian Art Prize (2009). His works has been exhibited in many cities in the world including Verona, Milan, Palermo, Heerlen, Nassauischer Kunstverein, Vilnius, Malmo, Stockholm, Zürich, Vancouver, New York, Virginia, Miami, Manchester, London, Sydney, Melbourne, Wellington (New Zealand), Sharjah, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul, Singapore, and Taipei. Lee Kit’s works are collected by Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst, The Hong Kong Museum of Art, and other private collectors in Hong Kong, New Zealand, Seoul, and Sweden.|
