Martie Geiger-Ho obtained a Ph.D. (Fine Arts Interdisciplinary) with an emphasis in art education at Texas Tech University, Texas, August 2003. She served as a University Fellow at the Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2006, where, in addition to her research on kiln gods she was organizing the ceramic studio and aiding with curriculum development. During her three years in Hong Kong, Geiger-Ho was a recipient of two individual Hong Kong Arts Development Council Grants. She was also a frequent lecturer and course instructor at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre and the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Her international exhibition record showed that she had participated in many invitational and juried shows in the United States, Hong Kong, China, Japan and Canada.
