Of Greek & Italian origin, was born and raised in Ethiopia before moving to Canada. He took his first photographs at age 11 with an instamatic camera and is for the most part self-taught. Costadimas has lived in China and Hong Kong since 1988 interrupted by a three year stint in Tokyo. In 1991, he joined the group "Aux Yeux" with which he began exhibiting his work in Hong Kong. He has subsequently held numerous group exhibitions in Hong Kong, Japan and Canada, including the 1996 Fringe Festival's "Restricted Exposures, Private Content - Public View" and in 2000: "Bodywork" at the LEE Gallery in Toronto. Costadimas was one of only three non-Chinese photographers selected to represent Hong Kong in the CD-ROM "50 Contemporary Photographers" issued in 1996. He has held two solo exhibitions "Esoteric Erotica" and "Viae Variae" both in 1999.
