Wong received her BFA Degree in Art and Design at Columbus College of Art and Design, Columbus, Ohio, USA and her MFA Degree in Photography (minor in film-making) at Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. From 1985 to 1988, Wong worked as a lecturer in the Communication Department of the Hong Kong Baptist College. From 1988 to 1996, she was Education Director in the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Since 1977, Wong has participated in more than 20 group exhibitions held in Hong Kong and overseas. She has three publications: Colour and Consent (1983), New Trends Art Hong Kong(1994) & An Overview of Computer Art and Education in Hong Kong (Leonardo 1995). In 1994, She was a recipient of the Asian Cultural Council Grant (ACC) to do research in art education in the USA, and in 1995 she was the recipient of an Institute of International Education (IIE) grant on 'Chinese Women Leadership Program - Art Education in Non-profit Organisation and Non-government Organisation'. Since 1998, she has been working as Senior Arts Officer at the Hong Kong Arts Development Council.
